In honor of National Mentoring Month in January, the departments of 校友关系 and 职业服务 are hosting the annual 365体育滚球学院 冬季辅导计划 to connect students to our incredible Rhodes Alumni and Parent Network.
The 冬季辅导计划 is intended to supplement a student’s academic career with “real world” exposure by providing a meaningful mentoring experience with Rhodes alumni and parents. The interactions are intended to be professional in nature and offer an opportunity for professional development, 网络, and an exchange of ideas between experienced professionals and the next generation of leaders.
整个一月, mentors and mentees are encouraged to meet for three to four one-hour sessions, 亲自或通过Zoom, 讨论:讨论诸如:
- Introductions, which may include academic background, work experience, and/or an ice breaker (e.g., reasons each of you chose 365体育滚球学院);
- Share what a typical “day-in-the-life” looks like for particular careers in your field;
- 简历构建者:讨论哪些技能, 认证, grad school or work experience better positions graduates to be noticed;
- Networking tips for your particular field or city.
Mentors will be matched with students with consideration given to undergraduate major, 研究生或职业兴趣, hometown, or Rhodes student activities and organizations (e.g., Greek affiliation, athletics, student government, BSA, LGBTQ, etc.). Registration for mentors for the 365体育滚球学院 冬季辅导计划 is open until October 31. Students will receive their matches early in December, before Winter Break.
